Being Informed in the wisdom of trauma allows you autonomy and resources to support a safe

environment within yourself, the classroom and ultimately facilitate yoga students to develop

a feeling of safety and connection within themselves.

You do not need to be a Yoga teacher to complete this course, however should you wish

To gain continuing education credits you will require A 200hr Yoga Teaching Certificate

Course structure

This 25 hr program is delivered face to face over one weekend plus reading assignments and

a written class plan for teachers wishing to receive a 25hr Certificate.

This Course includes and is not limited to:

• Polyvagal theory and application for yoga

• Basic neuroscience and the effect of trauma on the brain.

• Essential practices to include in group sessions

• The Window of Tolerance and developing resilience

• Creating safe language with Non-Violent Communication practices

• Learning Resourcing, titration and pendulation for trauma healing.

• How to recognize a trauma response in your client or student

• Trauma Release Exercise (TRE) experience for teachers.

What is expected?

• Your commitment of 100% attendance of all sessions (failure to attend all sessions threatens

your eligibility to complete the course and gain 25 Hours Certification)

• On time arrival for every session of the course (on time means please arrive early so we

may commence at start time)

• Come prepared for every session. Bring your journal and pen and resources for practices.

• Completion of all home study hours and assignments required to successfully gain 25HR

Certificate

You will also receive a 25hr certificate that can be credited as 25hrs of Continuing Education

Points (CEP) with Yoga Alliance International.
